The Meridian Systems Yoga (MSY) classes are simple, gentle and accessible to people with a wide range of body types and fitness levels. MSY classes are especially welcoming to seniors, older adults, and anyone returning to movement after time away. The method uses gentle, low-impact postures — no flexibility required, no prior yoga experience necessary. If you have been told yoga is not for you, this class was designed with you in mind.
Each session follows MSY’s unique sequence, working through postures that correspond to specific meridian pathways. Classes move slowly and deliberately — there is no rushing, no holding difficult poses, and no expectation of physical flexibility. Lee works with each student individually.
Currently, private classes are available at his studio at $75 per hour, payable online or in person at the studio. Book a time and Lee will be in touch. He asks for 24 hour notice for rescheduling or cancellation.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before class to allow time for setup.

Yes. MSY is taught with joint health in mind, and modifications are available for every pose. Many students come specifically because they need a gentler, more body-aware approach than conventional yoga offers.
Most yoga styles focus primarily on stretching muscles and building strength. Meridian Systems Yoga goes deeper — each sequence is designed with the body’s meridian pathways in mind, drawing on Traditional Chinese Medicine principles to support energy flow alongside physical movement. The result is a practice that’s both therapeutic and accessible, suitable for all levels including complete beginners.
Both practices work with the same underlying system: the meridians, or energy channels, through which Qi flows in the body. Acupuncture accesses those pathways with needles; MSY accesses them through movement, breath, and posture. Different tools, same map.
Comfortable clothes you can move freely in. No special gear required.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi (pronounced “chee”) is the vital energy that flows through the body along pathways called meridians. When that flow is smooth and unobstructed, the body tends toward balance and wellbeing. When it’s blocked or depleted, that’s often where discomfort or illness takes hold. MSY uses movement and breath to encourage healthy Qi flow — so you’re not just stretching, you’re supporting your body’s underlying energy system.
I can say without a doubt that MSY restored my health, in a bit more than a year. Ten years ago I was diagnosed with Pleurisy in my right lung. After lots of analysis I went to surgery and came out of all this story very, very weak. I Could not work out at the gym at all. I ran out of breath very quickly and sweat a lot, even after doing very little effort. Then stumbled onto MSY – a life changing experience!! Whereas Hatha Yoga restored part of my health, MSY restored my total health.
Meridian Systems Yoga works like a miracle for me. It feels like no other yoga class that I’ve ever taken. Before coming to Lee’s classes my kidneys were failing. My doctors believed that I would need a kidney transplant. Four months into Lee’s classes and my kidneys are fully functioning again. My doctors could not explain this, but I started feeling better after my very first class. I feel that Meridian systems yoga is helping me unblock my emotions too. Everything in my body is flowing in a positive wholeness that I never felt before. It helps me carry on through my days with lower levels of stress, anxiety and worry. I sleep much better at night too.
I find that Meridian systems yoga feels just like after acupuncture treatments. After your classes I feel inner warmth & energy flowing through my spine, pelvis, shoulders and arms. I feel a sense of peacefulness, calmness & bliss throughout my entire body.
Lee, I have to tell you that after class, my body was “buzzing,” and even though I was tired, I felt energetic. I am presently on a journey of learning about my energetic body through chiropractic treatments. My experience with you seems like another step along that journey! I am looking forward to learning more about your yoga method. I have never “buzzed” that way after doing yoga before!
